Tuesday 18th July 2023: In a first for Suffolk County Council, the doors of the mysterious glass edifice known as Endeavour House in Ipswich were opened for a tour for Charter Members around the innovative technology controlling the temperature and ventilation of the five storey construction.
The event was held as part of the 25 by 25 campaign, which is engaging with businesses on the simple steps that can kick start the journey to net zero.
Over 30 attendees were treated to fascinating talks from Ned Harrison, Glyn Lee and Mark Dale of Suffolk County Council and then the keynote presentation from Neil Fright of Carbon Numbers, the business which assisted with the most recent upgrades to the Building Management Systems.
After that, the groups were escorted around Endeavour House. Starting with a more in-depth look at the BMS system on the ground floor. Then a demonstration of the destratification fans and microlouvres on floor 4.
The tours finished with a display at the front of the building showing some of the electric vehicles which are already in use and others joining the pool fleet in the near future.

Then it was back to the large meeting room named after Elizabeth Frink, for networking, final questions and goodbyes.
