Friday 13th December 2024: A little bit earlier than usual to make room for the holiday celebrations, the last Newsletter of 2024 highlights the successes for the network and looks forward to what the new year will bring
Looking back, there were so many landmark memories over the last 12 months. Top of the list must be the winning of the prestigious ADEPT award for ‘Delivering Sustainable Growth’ prize at Horseguards Parade in London. A tribute to the UK-wide reputation of the Carbon Charter and how the influence of the Project goes far beyond the specific areas to create change across the whole Country and beyond.
The crossing of 500 individual businesses that have been accredited was also a milestone illustrating how the Charter is gaining momentum as the environment becomes more important to the economy. There was also EVEX24 which brought together so many different electric vehicles to test drive around the Trinity Park perimeter track.
The Summer Event in July saw the imposing presence of a Volvo HGV fully electric lorry parked to welcome visitors to the Coddenham Centre as our flagship event for the year took place at this unique venue.
The brilliant location of Neutral Territory brought the itinerary to a close as we now brace ourselves for what is sure to be a tumultuous 2025.
This Month’s Newsletter hints at what may be to come. With the growing maturation of artificial intelligence which will soon combine with fledgling Quantum computer technology we may be on the verge of a revolution which will shake our society to the core. This combined with political turmoil means the near future is difficult to predict.
