Alde Valley Academy in Leiston took home the greenest school award to raptuous applause and over 1,000 members of the public voted for Debbie Bartlett, who founded Litter-Free Felixstowe, to get the green hero award.
Winners also include Suffolk Wildlife Trust Carlton Marshes for enhancing biodiversity and landscape, Still Good Food for waste reduction and recycling award.
Carbon Charter members Precision Marketing for greenest business and Skyview Systems for greenest small business were worthy winners, Plus Steve Piotrowski also picked up Suffolk County Council’s environment award the Derek Moore Award.
