Tuesday 9th August 2022: Many congratulations to the latest new member of the network in the form of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce – Celebrating their well-deserved award and leading the way for other businesses to look again at how they influence the world around us.
A team has been established internally to co-ordinate actions on emissions and sustainability and an action plan developed to guide future action. The Chamber communicates with staff members about ways to reduce the impacts associated with delivery of services (e.g. energy efficiency, reducing number of journeys, switching to more sustainable forms of transport
In 2021 the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce launched a ‘Net Zero Hub’ as a central resource for practical guidance, thought leadership and useful resources for businesses engaging with the climate challenge.
They are now looking into developing a Sustainable Procurement Policy so that they can engage with suppliers regarding their own sustainability commitments.
