Tuesday 19th May 2020: To make us look forward to when we can go out and about to visit the many beauty spots across Norfolk and Suffolk once more, the stunning Pakenham Water Mill is this week’s #CharterTuesday focus.
Nestling in the lovely Suffolk countryside, this historic water mill is steeped in character and it is believed that there has been a water mill in Pakenham for the last 1000 years.
Although physical visits may be tricky for a while, they have now restarted production of the traditional stone-ground wholemeal flour which can be ordered online in a variety of styles, including rye and spelt, suitable for bread machines or hand baking.
