Tuesday 18th May 2021: With a long association with the Charter but only now gaining formal accreditation, Stokes have worked to refine the taste, texture and quality of ketchups, sauces, condiments, preserves and mayonnaise while doing all they can to help the environment.
This includes a long list of exemplary efforts including switching some of their vehicles to electric, utilising special recycled and recyclable plastic squeezy bottles and putting a lot of work into communicating about environmental matters.
For the future they have developed a comprehensive Environmental Action Plan to support the aim of achieving zero to landfill by end of 2021 and they are actively investigating a pathway to net zero.
They have also now established an animal sanctuary. This supports biodiversity and is giving homes to unwanted pets and more unusual creatures, including Wallabies, Emus and Rheas.
