Information around Covid-19 is changing rapidly and it is important Carbon Charter businesses stay up to date with the latest guidance and support offered by government.
The New Anglia Growth Hub has produced a Covid-19 Business Toolkit which provides valuable advice to businesses in our region which we feel Carbon Charter members are likely to find extremely useful.
Further information for local businesses regarding the current support is also available from Suffolk County Council, Norfolk County Council and Essex County Council.
Support including small business grants and retail and hospitality grants is also available through the local authorities (which should be in touch directly with their local businesses) and the UK Government website and Citizens Advice have produced health and welfare information for individuals.
Despite the challenges of Covid-19, the Carbon Charter team continues to offer free environmental advice and guidance to our member businesses. For those members awaiting the outcome of Carbon Charter assessments, our panel will meet next on 28th April and you should have confirmation of your award level shortly afterwards.
BEE Anglia is also still supporting businesses seeking to cut their energy use and the energy efficiency grant scheme remains open to new applications. Eligible technologies include battery storage, electric vehicles (for business use only), solar panels, LED lighting and insulation. Grants will cover up to 40% of installation costs, up to the value of £20,000.
