EVEX2022 Electric Vehicle Experience Day: 22nd June 2022, Member Discount
Carbon Charter members can take advantage of half-price tickets for this event that will primarily be dedicated to businesses, with seminars on benefits to companies. There will presentations from industry leaders and the chance to chat to the many other EV owners – and Charter members – who will be in attendance, as well as an opportunity to test drive a range of electric cars, vans and motorbikes. ‘Stronger Sustainable Suffolk’: Networking event 28th June 2022
The Carbon Charter team will be joining Charter members Vertas at The Hold, Ipswich to share ideas on how organisations can meet their environmental commitments at an informal networking event as part of the Festival of Suffolk. Please come along to network and listen to the Carbon Charter presentation! Tickets are free and further information is available on the ‘Events‘ pages of the Carbon Charter website.
Summer Flagship Event: 6th July 2022, Networking at an Inspiring New Venue
Join us for our annual flagship summer celebration event in the glorious open countryside at Anglia Car Charging, Broome on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. This stunning venue continues the tradition of the previous years events, with time to explore the idyllic grounds as well as presentations, keynote speeches, electric vehicles, networking and nibbles. It would be lovely to see you all there but places are limited to please book early to avoid disappointment.
Training: Starting 15th September, our next Carbon Literacy course
We are running our next accredited Carbon Literacy course online over 3 sessions on 15th, 22nd and 29th September. To date we have delivered our Carbon Literacy Course to 62 learners through the Carbon Charter and feedback from the course has been overwhelmingly positive! Our course is specifically designed for Carbon Charter members and aims to help businesses and individuals to identify ways to manage their carbon emissions and take action on climate change. Please email us to book your place now. A further course will be running later in the year (15th, 22nd and 29th November) and we can also deliver bespoke in-house courses for Charter businesses.
Funding Update: £5,000 grants for low carbon heating systems
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme has grants available for heat pumps and biomass boilers, and is open to domestic and small non-domestic properties. Survey: Net Zero Study by Norwich Business School
A team of researchers from UEA are hoping to gain insight into the challenges that companies in Norfolk and Suffolk are facing to achieve Net Zero. If you have a few minutes to complete their survey, they would really value your input. The online survey is available here.
