Monday 7th September 2020: Congratulations to Carbon Charter members Lane Farm who have won the ‘Pride of Suffolk’ category at the 2020 Suffolk Food and Drink Awards. This award recognises a product or brand that the county is proud to call its own by demonstrating the excellence of food and drink production within Suffolk
Well done as well to James White Drinks – also long-standing members of the Carbon Charter – who were also named as a finalist in the ‘Pride of Suffolk’ category.
The Wild Meat Company was a finalist in the ‘Field to Fork’ category – judges recognised their environmental credentials (Silver level Carbon Charter award) and their contribution to the local community along with the evident passion for what they do and the delivery of their outstanding products.
Other Carbon Charter members praised by the awards include The Low House (Kings Head), Laxfield – which shortlisted as a finalist in the Pub of the Year award – and Bill Pinney of Pinney’s of Orford – who was named as ‘Suffolk’s Food and Drink Hero’.
