Thursday 17th July 2025: The Suffolk High Energy User’s Network (HEN) held its first annual conference at the Athenaeum in Bury St Edmunds on 17th July 2025.
The ornate hall was the perfect setting for the event which brought together major Suffolk businesses that are at the forefront of reducing carbon emissions, alongside Suffolk Chamber, the University of Suffolk, and Groundwork East.
This was an ideal opportunity to share best practice and knowledge among Suffolk’s largest energy users by identifying and promoting innovative emission-reduction projects and technologies, supporting SMEs in the supply chain to cut emissions and operational costs and contributing evidence and expertise to help shape Suffolk’s net zero journey.
The fascinating presentations and conversations enabled attendees to gain practical support to cut emissions and operational costs, early insight into local and national net zero projects, and opportunities to shape the environmental agenda. This can help strengthen reputations with policymakers and customers, create social value, and build greater resilience for the future.
